As you’re exploring Flying Waters – the second major area in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – you’ll eventually come across something strange, a Demineur Nevron that isn’t hostile. Instead, you can talk to it and it will appear to have lost something, and your party will note that these Nevrons are usually carrying floating sea mines with them, hovering above their head like a balloon.

We’ll show you where to get the Mine for this Demineur, what you get for bringing it what it wants, and what you should do afterwards. Not everything in this area is as friendly as the Demineur though, check out our guide on how to defeat Mimes in Expedition 33 for something a little creepier.

Where is the Demineur’s mine?

If you turn right from where the Demineur is, you’ll see a series of pillars sticking up from the ground below, you’ll need to jump across these. Do so and reach the platform directly across from where you made your first jump, and you’ll see a glowing item on the ground. This is the mine. You can jump back if you want to, or just drop down and climb the rungs.

Give it back to Demineur, and it will reward you with a new weapon for Lune that has the Lightning element. If you talk to it again, though, you will be given the choice to fight it.

Should you fight the Demineur?

If you fight the Demineur, it’s not a particularly difficult battle, as you can kill these enemies quite quickly with your free aim ability. It will drop some decent rewards like a Color of Lumina and stones for upgrading your weapons. However, there will be consequences down the line for killing these friendly Nevrons.
