Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries: All Research Tasks

It’s time to make some Sweet Discoveries in Pokémon GO. Running from April 24 to 29, 2025, this event doubles all Candy drops from catching Pokémon and increases the odds of finding a Shiny Delibird and Skwovet. Trainers low on Berries should keep an eye out for these monsters as well, since catching them rewards you with fruits.

During Sweet Discoveries, you’ll be able to find apples as you explore your surroundings. You can collect these to gain Sweet Apples or Tart Apples, or trigger a Pokémon encounter — for example, you might meet Applin by tapping on the wayward delicacies. Sweet Apples will be required to evolve Applin into Appletun, while Tart Apples help evolve it into Flapple.

In addition to that, the Sweet Discoveries event brings brand-new Field Research and Timed Research Tasks to the table, which offer additional rewards.

Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries: Timed Research Tasks

Timed Research Tasks are only available from April 24, 2025, at 10am local time, to April 29, 2025, at 8pm local time. Any unfinished missions or unclaimed rewards will vanish after that deadline, so make sure to complete the job and reap the fruits of your labor before then. The Sweet Discoveries event features a free Timed Research available upon logging in as well as one paid Timed Research, for which you’ll need a ticket priced $1.99 USD or your regional equivalent.

Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries: Field Research Tasks

Available from PokéStops during the event’s runtime, so until April 29, 2025, at 8pm local time, Field Research Tasks can be completed whenever you like once you’ve logged them into your inventory.

Here are all Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries Field Research Tasks:

• Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokémon: Delibird, Komala, or Skwovet
• Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon: Stardust x1,000
• Feed your buddy 5 times: Stardust x1,000

You’ll need to collect 20 Sweet and Tart Apples, respectively, to evolve Applin in addition to 200 Applin Candy for each evolution, so it’ll be quite the journey to acquire both forms of the freshly arrived Pokémon.
