PlayStation’s State of Play June 2025 gave us a bunch of reveals, and one of the biggest is Nioh 3, the third game in the critically acclaimed series that started in 2017. The game is currently set for “Early 2026”, beautiful you need to get a taste of it now, then don’t worry, as a demo will be available until June 18, 2025.

Team Ninja has arguably flown under the radar for a few years with games like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Rise of the Ronin growing decent audiences, even if they weren’t universally beloved by critics. Still, the Nioh series has given us two hits so far, so there’s no reason to doubt that the third game will be just the same.

This game will see you switch between Samurai and Ninja combat styles. This isn’t like Assassin’s Creed Shadows, where they’re entirely separate characters, though. The Samurai style stays close to what the series has done up until now, with a few extra bits for added flair, while Ninja style focuses more on aerial movements and evasive action to keep out of harm’s way and land big strikes.

You can go onto the PlayStation Store and download the demo for Nioh 3 right now while we wait for the game to drop early next year.
