Silent Hill f gets a new gameplay trailer and a September release date
By Ryan Woodrow

After last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake reignited a lot of passion for the franchise, the path was clear for Silent Hill f to take us by storm, and the new gameplay trailer in the June 2025 State of Play event gave us a lot to look forward to as we get ever nearer to the newly-annoucned release date of September 25, 2025.
Announced all the way back in 2022, Silent Hill fans don’t have much longer to wait for this brand new entry, which, according to a blog post released alongside the trailer, will be “more action-oriented” than last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake. Whether this is a good thing or not depends on how you like your Silent Hill, but this trailer has assured us there will be plenty of mind-bending horror in store.
Set in 1960s Japan, we follow Shimizu Hinako as her hometown shifts into a nightmarish version of itself where everyone she knows is mutated into horrific monsters to varying degrees, while they all call her a traitor. If it’s anything like its predecessors, there are sure to be plenty of dark secrets to uncover when the game launches this September.
