Zenless Zone Zero is coming to Xbox in June 2025

Zenless Zone Zero is the next HoYoverse game to become available on Xbox Series X|S: The action RPG is coming to the platform in June 2025 with the release of Version 2.0, following in the footsteps of Genshin Impact, which landed on the console last year.

ZZZ will be available via Xbox Cloud Gaming to Game Pass Ultimate members as well, allowing for seamless streaming across devices. HoYoverse says that the game will be capable of hitting 60 frames per second at 4K resolutions on the Series X and support its Quick Resume feature, which enables players to switch between games without long loading times — clearly a good fit for someone aiming to do their dailies in Genshin Impact and ZZZ.

Furthermore, the action game will sport customized vibration feedback on Xbox controllers and feature cross-progression, so existing players can easily continue their accounts on Microsoft’s platform.

Version 2.0 is going to be the biggest update to ZZZ yet — and not only because a new platform joins the fray. Players will gain access to a brand-new area called Waifei Peninsula, where Belle and Wise will make contact with Yi Xuan, another one of the famed and powerful Void Hunters.

HoYoverse already revealed that major gameplay changes would be coming with 2.0 and after, such as changes to navigation and another combat overhaul. Navigation will be enhanced with an actual map that will replace the side-scrolling menu players use at the moment to access the game’s various areas, while the combat changes are supposed to allow all the characters on the team to shine instead of only the Main DPS, who hogs most of the field time at the moment. In practice, Support and Sub DPS Agents will have some presence on the battlefield to serve the fantasy of the entire team fighting. Recent Agents like Astra Yao, Pulchra, and Trigger probably served as experiments for this direction.

This should go hand in hand with buffs and kit updates for older characters to bring them in line with the new style of gameplay.

Before we’re crossing that bridge, though, ZZZ 1.7 is set to be released on April 23, 2025, for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android.
