1% Cup Fortnite is an open tournament with a $10,000 prize pool made in collaboration with the Fortnite content team One Percent. Yes, the same One Percent who showed off that absurd house last summer.

This tournament has some nice prizes, but with a cutthroat twist: only 1% of competitors will make the second round before battling for the Victory Royale. Here's everything you need to know about the 1% Fortnite Cup, according to the official rules.

1% Cup Fortnite Rules

The first round will be played in a three hour session. Teams can play up to 10 matches within the first session. Only the top 1% of players will advance to the next round. The second session will also run for three hours and use the same scoring system.

You'll earn a point for your team each elimination and points depending on how you place in the match.

  • Victory Royale: 42 Points
  • 2nd: 36 Point

  • 6th: 28 Points
  • 7th: 27 Points
  • 8th: 26 Points
  • 9th: 25 Points

Prizes will be distributed as such:

  • 1st: $5,000
  • 2nd: $2,500
  • 3rd: $1,250
  • 4th: $800
  • 5th: $450

1% Cup Fortnite Teams

To play, you must first register for the tournament on the official site and have two factor authentication enabled. The 1% Cup will be open to all players, but you can't play this tournament solo. The tournament will be played with duos rules, requiring you to party up with someone to be eligible. Players who are not partied up will automatically place last. Both you and your partner must be registered and ready when the tournament begins.
