10 Most Expensive Defenders in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team
By Max Mallow
FIFA 20 Ultimate Team is in full swing as players continue to build their teams in the latest iteration of EA Sports' popular soccer franchise.
FIFA Ultimate Team is the flagship mode of the game letting players build their fantasy teams with whatever players they want. With new defensive mechanics introduced this year, defenders are more important that ever.
Here are the 10 most expensive defenders excluding Icons in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.
10. Andrew Robertson (LB) - Liverpool
The reigning Champions League winner is considered the best left back in the Premier League. He's coming in at 69,000 coins.
9. Lucas Hernandez (CB) - Bayern Munich
Lucas Hernandez transferred to Bundesliga side Bayern Munich for the new season. His base gold card comes in at 71,000 coins.
8. Kyle Walker (RB) - Manchester City
Kyle Walker might have some competition this season from Joao Cancelo, but he's still a club legend. He's coming in at 75,000 coins.
7. Kostas Manolas (CB) - Napoli
The Greek International transferred to Napoli this season. With few top tier options at CB for Serie A players, Manolas is a solid option. He's currently 78,000 coins.
6. Clement Lenglet (CB) - FC Barcelona
The French CB received an upgrade this year and the market's responded accordingly with a price of 78,500 coins.
5. Jordi Alba (LB) - FC Barcelona
The Spanish LB comes in at 79,500 coins and he's a strong option at the position.
4. Alex Sandro (LB) - Piemonte Calcio
While Juventus might be called Piemonte Calcio in FIFA 20, the players remain the same. Alex Sandro remains a beast and costs 97,500 coins currently.
3. Sergio Ramos (CB) - Real Madrid
Consistently a top tier CB each year in FUT, Sergio Ramos is currently 177,000 coins.
2. Raphael Varane (CB) - Real Madrid
Even though he's four ratings lower than Ramos, Varane is more expensive coming in at 218,000 coins.
1. Virgil Van Dijk (CB) - Liverpool
The best defender in FIFA 20 (and the world) comes in at 540,000 coins. Simple as that. Pay the price if you want to play with the best.
