100 Thieves CEO Nadeshot Partners With Excedrin Gaming; Discusses Return to Call of Duty League

100 Thieves CEO and founder, Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, partnered April 14 with Excedrin as the company targets gamers who struggle with headaches.

"We talked to gamers, and 82% felt they could play better if they were able to more effectively manage their headaches. Nearly three in four gamers say getting head pain while gaming adversely affects focus and performance. DBLTAP sat down with Nadeshot to discuss the partnership and why he decided to team up with Excedrin.

"I think they bring a lot of resources together in front of the gamers and in front of the community. They have a mindful gaming routine that I think, without even realizing, that I've been doing now as I'm older...I wish I would've done it more when I was young competing on stage because it brings down my heart rate and helps with my anxiety," Haag said. "I've talked about my mental health a lot on my stream the last few years. I really believe that, for the young kids who are gaming all day or working toward being a content creator, that mindful routine...will really help them in the future."

The 100 Thieves founder also opened up about the organization's re-entry into Call of Duty esports when it acquired a franchise spot for Los Angeles in the Call of Duty League.

"We felt like there was a gap in our soul. I know that sounds dramatic, but my entire career and the genesis of Nadeshot was Call of Duty. For us to take a step away for a second time was really tough for me. We just needed to make sure the situation, not only for our fans and the company financially, we had to get all of our ducks in a row," Haag said.

100 Thieves finished 5-6th in the Call of Duty League Major II tournament losing out to eventual winner Toronto Ultra in the elimination bracket.
