30 Tips for New PUBG Console Players
These 30 tips will help new PUBG console players master the battle royale.
Seasoned PUBG players will have to adjust to the addition of Erangel Ferries and Jammer Packs that are arriving in Update 8.3 this week. New players will have even more to wrap their heads around. With PUBG included as a free game for Playstation Plus members this month, the game is sure to bring in a number of first-time console players.
Reddit user u/Donthommo put together a list of 30 tips for new console players. The tips have also been compiled into a helpful YouTube video, but you can read some of them below.
Check out the Reddit thread for the full list of tips, but here are the top 10:
- If you want to navigate through your inventory more quickly, you can use the the right and left triggers to scroll up and down 6 slots at a time.
- You can increase and decrease stack sizes more quickly. After holding down Triangle or Y to drop something from a stack, instead of pressing left and right on the d-pad to increase or decrease it by 1, use up and down on the d-pad to change the increment by 10.
- Hold Triangle or Y when a gun is selected in your inventory to drop all of its attachments onto the ground.
- Hold Square or X when a gun is selected to drop all of its attachments into your inventory.
- You can use the automatic equip settings under gameplay settings so that you put attachments and sights automatically onto your weapons when you pick them up.
- The 6x, 8x and 15x scopes can all be zoomed in and out. To do this, aim down the scope, then hold down R1 or RB, and move the left stick up and down.
- The 8x and the 15x scope can be zeroed to different distances up to 1000m. Just press up and down on the d-pad whilst aiming down the scope.
- You can inspect your gun by holding down left on the d-pad.
- You can change the colour and shape of your reticle on the red dot and holographic sights by pressing up and down on the d-pad whilst aiming down your sights.
- You can also adjust the brightness of the reticle by aiming down your sights, holding down R1 or RB and then moving the left stick up and down.
PUBG Console Update 8.3 arrives later this week.
