5 Best Fortnite Battle Passes of All Time
Epic Games never fails to deliver content. Since gaining global traction in what felt like all of 2018, Fortnite has been fantastic about engaging fans in a constant coexistence of scarcity of fun. From in-game concerts to crossover events and differing weapons, Epic also has another means of bringing their fans back for more.
Fortnite Battle Passes are in-game, month-spanning events that last the length of the season they're tied to. Most often accompanied with a theme, battle passes give fans the ability to unlock special content by playing the game and completing challenges. Although they have free and paid versions, players can purchase the Premium version via the in-game currency of V-Bucks (about $10) to play for and unlock even more content.
Nonetheless, here's a look at the five best Fortnite battle passes of all time:
5. Chapter 1 - Season 7
Season 7's holiday-themed Battle Pass brought about marvelous skins in The Ice King and Zenith while still adhering to festive content proper to its winter 2018 release. This season was the first to allow its outfits to have extra editing styles as well as introduced wraps into the game.
4. Chapter 2 - Season 1
If the inaugural season of Chapter 2 is known for anything, it's known for practically revitalizing the game all on its own. The battle pass' tier progression system reverted to an XP-based one used in Season 1 of the Chapter beforehand. This pass also gave way for cool outfits like 8 Ball and Fusion (which, by the way, is probably a top-3 skin) to have alter ego styles.
3. Chapter 1 - Season 5
Season 5 featured some of the sleekest-looking skins still in the game today. From Redline to Drift and Ragnarok, there isn't exactly a bad skin in this pass. This season's theme revolved around mixing the real world with the Battle Royale Island.
2. Chapter 1 - Season X
Season X hands-down has the most aesthetically-pleasing outfits in the game. Neon eyes combined with modern-day outfits, superhero capes, and medieval armor was synonymous with this season's theme: time. The last season's battle pass of Chapter 1 paid homage to the game's previous seasons by featuring altered versions of some of their skins.
1. Chapter 1 - Season 3
While much debate can be held for the most popular game's best battle pass, Chapter 1 - Season 3 is a great bet. This space-themed battle pass introduced new types of cosmetics to the game while also featuring John Wick as "The Reaper" in Tier 100. Joining him as stunning skins include the Dark Voyager and Elite Agent, both which are still prominent in the Fortnite of today.
