5 Best Legendary Items in League of Legends Preseason 2021
The League of Legends Preseason update changed Items forever. With a new rarity system, addition of new items, and rework of old items, the shop can be a bit overwhelming. Legendary items are a tricky part of a players item build this preseason.
These items are meant to amplify what a player's champion does best, but aren't always necessary to a build based on the matchup. The best Legendary items are cost efficient and are useful in a variety of scenarios. Here are the top five Legendary items this Preseason.
5 Best Legendary Items in League of Legends Preseason 2021
Rabadon's Deathcap
Rabadon's Deathcap is useful for any mid lane mage champion. The item gives a player +120 Ability Power and it's passive Magical Opus, increases a players total Ability Power by 35%. The Deathcap is the most expensive item in the game at 3800 gold. However, the expense is worth it for the raw damage this item can help you output.
Gargoyle Stoneplate
Gargoyle Stoneplate is the most expensive armor in the game. However, the 3300 gold you'll spend on it is worth it. This item grants 60 Armor, 60 Magic Resist, and 15 Ability Haste. On top of that, Gargoyle Stoneplate has an active and a passive. It's active, Monolith, gives you a temporary shield that decays over 2.5 seconds. That may not seem like a long time, but in a close game that could be the difference between winning a fight or losing it. It's passive, Strength of Stone, means that taking damage from another player grants stacks of 3% bonus Armor and Magic Resist for six seconds.
Infinity Edge
Infinity Edge makes so many champions in League of Legends dangerous. This item grants 70 Attack Damage and 20% Critical Strike Chance. That means anyone with this item is going to pack a punch. On top of that, Infinity Edge's passive, Perfection, states that players gain additional 8% Critical Strike Damage per 20% Critical Strike Chance. In other words, every attack someone with this item has could potentially do more and more damage. The price of 3400 gold might seem expensive. However, two of the three items that build into Infinity Edge are very cheap.
Bloodthirster
Bloodthirster is one of the most expensive Life Steal items in the game. At its base, Bloodthirster adds 55 Attack Damage, 20% Critical Strike Chance, and 20% Life Steal. Bloodthirster's passive, Ichorshield, means that life steal can over heal players by making the excess health a shield. Building this item is a little harder despite also being priced at 3400 gold. However, it's well worth the investment.
Black Cleaver
If your champion is a brawler, you can't go wrong with Black Cleaver. Black Cleaver grants 40 Attack Damage, 300 Health, and 25 Ability Haste. On top of that, the passives Flay and Carve mean that the more you hit someone with this item equipped, the more damage you are likely to do. Black Cleaver is also 100 gold cheaper than Infinity Edge or Bloodthirster.
