One of the most crucial roles in League of Legends is the mid laner. As one of the main anchor points on the map it's important that your champion can efficiently clear minions while also applying pressure onto the opponent. In the newest patch to LoL not much was done to improve the mid lane but buffs to a few champions might add a little variety to your next solo q selection.

Here are the five best mid laners in League of Legends Patch 11.4.

5 Best Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 11.4

Katarina

Making her return to the list is the queen of blades herself, Katarina. In 11.3 this champion was a force with her ganking ability and damage output. The new Cosmic Drive buffs make it even easier to close the gap on opponents giving a huge increase to champion movement speed. With her formidable damage and ability to zoom throughout the map it's hard to find a reason to keep her off the list.

Galio

Galio is another name returning to the list. His engage and disengage ability makes him worthwhile for any team. He still gets a lot of looks in pro play and with the Morellonomicon buff his damage output will become a little stronger.

Veigar

Veigar comes in as a new addition to the list since he's one of the mid laners who's seen the most tweaking to his kit. With decreases to both his Q mana cost and ultimate cooldown time, Veigar is going to be putting out a lot of damage to enemy champions. Item buffs for AP champions are on display this patch, damage and movement boosts in 11.4 will hopefully turn Veigar into a viable pick for both solo q and pro play.

Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate makes his way back onto the list due to some of the same reasons he made it onto the list for 11.3. His ability to output damage from a distance makes him a nuisance to enemy mid laners. He already had great mobility and ganking strength due to his ultimate but with the new movement speed buff for AP champions it only makes it harder to get away from this card slinger. We'll definitely continue to see more of this champion in both pro play and solo queue.

Talon

A true wild card on this list, Talon was a viable champion in 11.3 but with the buffs to his W and healing debuffs to top laners it's hard not to include him. Talon's damage output only got larger in this patch and with the 100 health added to the Chempunk Chainsword it'll only be harder to get this champion off the map.
