5 Best Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 12.2
By Yunah Elsner
We've detailed the five best mid laners in League of Legends Patch 12.2. A few nerfs and buffs have come with the patch update, changing which champions are the best in mid lane. As of now, the best mid laners in Patch 12.2 are Yone, Yasuo, Zed, Sylas and Anivia.
It is arguable that Yone and Yasuo have become slightly weaker with the Immortal Shieldbow nerf in Patch 12.1. However, Yone and Yasuo both received buffs in order to balance out the Shieldbow nerf and it's been quite obvious that the nerf has not affected their gameplay that much.
5 Best Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 12.2
1. Yasuo
Skilled Yasuo players can become the strongest player on the rift even with the Immortal Shieldbow nerf. Yasuo's attack speed and damage continues to scale throughout the game, and can continue to chase down enemies, CC them and execute them in a matter of seconds.
2. Yone
The brother of Yasuo, Yone, also makes it on the list as his similar attack damage and attack speed scaling has not been affected by the Immortal Shieldbow nerf. Yone can CC his enemies, dish out damage in a short span of time and chase them down in his Spirit Form.
3. Zed
Zed in mid lane has been a strong champion, especially against AP mid laners. Zed's ultimate ability did receive a small nerf, but for skilled champions, the nerf shouldn't affect his damage either way. Zed's ability to spawn where he leaves his shadow, disappear and perfectly execute his champions have made him a strong mid laner this patch and in previous patches.
4. Sylas
Sylas has also made it to the list as he is an extremely flexible champion. Sylas can leap towards his enemies, deal tons of damage and walk away without a single scratch. Sylas is a sustainable yet powerful champion, making him one of the strongest mid laners.
5. Anivia
Anivia has always been an annoying mid laner to play against. Her ability to wall, attack and burn her enemies, making her an unforgiving champion. Anivia has been an S-tier mid laner for quite a while because of how strong she can be in the late game.
