The ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals kicked off Tuesday with the 16 best teams of the regular season heading to Odense, Denmark.

Teams in attendance have three things to fight for: the $250,000 grand prize, a win toward Intel Grand Slam Season 4 and a direct seed into IEM Katowice 2020. The group stages end on Thursday with Natus Vincere and Astralis taking the first seed for Group A and Group B respectively. Team Liquid and mousesports finished out Group B while Evil Geniuses and Fnatic advanced from Group A.

But who carried their teams through the group stage? Here are the five best players from the group stage.

5. Ropz

For mousesports to win at any event, the team needs Robin "ropz" Kool to pop off. Touted as one of the best young talents a few years back, ropz can now be considered a veteran of the game despite his young age. Already averaging a 1.27 rating over six maps, ropz is leading his team to victory and will be their best bet at winning a tournament.

4. kennyS

While G2 Esports struggled in Odense, Kenny "kennyS" Schrub played extremely well with his notorious AWP and almost carried his team through the group stage. The team faltered when they faced ATK and lost 2:1 in the loser’s bracket. G2 Esports hasn’t found footing for months now, but there is no doubt the team needs to build around kennyS.

3. S1mple

While he placed second in ratings over the group stage, s1mple only placed third because one of his teammates took first and another player single-handedly led his team to the playoffs. Considered as one of the best players in the world, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev would be number one in any other tournament, it just so happens a teammate did slightly better.

2. KRIMZ

Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson has quietly become the best player on Fnatic, and made a very loud impression during the group stage. He broke the all-time record number of kills in regulation at a major CS:GO tournament against MIBR. He snagged 44 kills against the Brazilians and carried his team on his back the entire group stage.

1. Electronic

Denis "electronic" Sharipov is the highest rated player for Natus Vincere and the entire group stage with a 1.53 rating. With Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács back in form, and s1mple playing like s1mple, Natus Vincere has a real chance at defeating Astralis in the finals. Electronic has long been in s1mple’s shadow, but it’s been obvious for months now that Electronic can carry the team just as much as s1mple can.
