5 Best PvP Weapons In Destiny 2 Season 13
By Allan Zeng
What are the five best PvP weapons in Destiny 2 Season 13? While Beyond Light was still a packed expansion, the PvP side of the game didn't really receive any substantial updates. In fact, since the re-addition of Trials of Osiris in Season 10, PvP has sort of been left alone. As a result, there are some very powerful weapons dominating the Crucible right now. For the sake of fairness, exotics won't be included in this list.
5 Best PvP Weapons In Destiny 2 Season 13
1. Felwinter's Lie
Yea, it was never going to be anything else. Felwinter's Lie was a shotgun from Destiny 1 that was reintroduced to Destiny 2 last May. And it has become the bane of players in Crucible. Its spread is ridiculous and the perk combo of quickdraw and opening shot is lethal. I'm not sure what more needs to be said of this gun. It's simply overpowered.
2. Igneous Hammer
Igneous Hammer is a gun introduced in Season 13 for Trials of Osiris (along with another gun on this list) and it has quickly become one of the most desirable weapons. It's a hand cannon that's part of the 120 RPM archetype. This archetype has quickly become dominant in this crucible. And the Igneous Hammer may be the best of this archetype. With a strong perk pool with things like Killing Wind, Moving target, or Rampage, this gun can shred foes from even 50 meters away. The ridiculous range and impact of this gun allow it to compete with even some scout rifles. With a damage perk active, it can waste players with just two headshots. This gun has earned its place as the best primary weapon.
3. The Messenger
Trials weapons have been potent this season and The Messenger is another example. A pulse rifle that can roll the Desperado perk, it's arguably one of the strongest weapons in the game for both PvE and PvP. With a high range and good stickiness for bullets, not to mention Desperado, it can make quick work of foes in mid to long-range encounters.
4. Frozen Orbit
Frozen Orbit is probably the best sniper for PvP in the game, which helps since it's only obtainable through the Crucible. Although Adored is very solid and Far Future with a god roll has a good case, Frozen Orbit has a very strong and versatile perk pool. Firmly planted, No Distractions, and Moving Target in the first slot and High-Impact Reserves, Kill Clip, Opening Shot, and Quickdraw in the second all give this gun great options. That being said, Snipers very much have to do with feel as well as perks. If players feel comfortable with a certain sniper, they shouldn't feel pressure to change.
5. The Steady Hand
While Igneous Hammer is supreme in the 120 Hand Cannon archetypes, The Steady Hand is also very good. This gun is obtainable through the Iron Banner, a PvP event that happens for a week once every month. The Steady Hand can roll with some pretty solid perks, including an Iron Banner exclusive one called Iron Grip, which massively increases stability. While not quite as good a the Igneous Hammer, it does hold the advantage of being a kinetic weapon. This means it can be used with a Felwinter's Lie or Frozen Orbit while Ignnous Hammer can't. For players who can't get a good roll on an Igneous Hammer, don't feel too bad. The Steady Hand can serve as a pretty good alternative.
