5 Best Supports in League of Legends Patch 11.13
By Ayrton Lauw
If the tide hasn't settled already for the tank meta, League of Legends Patch 11.13 is just around the corner as it hits on Wednesday. Though the changes in this patch seem to service the solo lanes, primarily top lane, bot lane shouldn't be overlooked and these are the supports that will reign over the duo lane.
Patch 11.13 will keep the support meta relatively similar as previous patches, but as the Tahm Kench rework is enabled in this patch, he could serve to shake up a few things as he likely reprises his role as a support.
1. Tahm Kench
With the incoming rework of Tahm Kench released in the upcoming patch, there is likely to be a resurgence of the catfish returning to a support role. He'll give ally champions a huge shield which could provide as the key to winning the bot lane, especially with AD carries that are high-risk-high-reward. There is little said on how effective he will be, though it's certain that the community will figure out a way to abuse him anyways.
2. Braum
Braum will be a solid pick to play in the bot lane alongside an AD carry that can propel the team to a victory in the late game. As he's always been a sturdy pick, this patch only solidifies his effectiveness as a tank as items start to adjust around beefier champions.
3. Janna
Janna will be the thorn in everyone's side to go against as she always has been. Being a lot safer to be around than the popular Lulu pick, Janna is going to remain relevant yet again as there needs to be champions that can displace tanks away from AD carries trying to deal out damage. Seeing as her abilities are unchanged in this patch, she provides great utility throughout the game for team fights and makes it oppressive to fight against early on.

4. Thresh
If they haven't already, players will need to continue to learn how to dodge hooks or die trying. Like with Braum, as tanks start to plant their stake in the meta, Thresh is really the better pick to play among the tanks especially if he can deliver game-winning hooks in crucial moments. Thresh is just clutch, and if the hooks are landing, it's almost certain the game will be won with him as the anchor for the team.
5. Lulu
It'll be another patch of Lulu dominance. Since her buffs started in Patch 11.9, this entire season has made the bot lane Lulu's home. As she's able to provide as a more-than-reliable support for any hyper carries that come along her way, she's essential in keeping even the more fed top laners at bay with her amazing utility. She's a pick or ban champion that will continue to shine over other supports in this patch until she is severely nerfed.
