Patch 11.16 for League of Legends will hit a bit later as part of Riot Games' mid-year break. That said, it may be best to use the extra week for experimenting with who will be the best on the island of top lane for the next patch.

5 Best Top Laners in League of Legends Patch 11.16

Patch 11.16 will have little changes to the important characters in the top lane. There have been nerfs to the recently reworked Tahm Kench and Fiora, as well as buffs for Jarvan IV and Maokai. However, it's unlikely that these balance changes will be meta-changing for top lanes as big damage reigns over big health.

1. Renekton

Though the balance team may have nerfed him a few patches prior, Renekton somehow slipped to the top of the win rates in high-ranked solo queue. Though he is far from the strongest, his ability to weave in and out of skirmishes coupled with a decent amount of health points makes him a great counter pick to stop the high-damage top laners.

2. Fiora

Fiora will continue as a high-damage top laner that is as dangerous as she is frustrating to kill. If she gets ahead in the early game, much like for Riven, it's an uphill battle that will need a proper tank with moderate damage to out-sustain her. There will be a slight nerf to her Bladework (E) ability, which will increase the cooldown from 11-5 seconds to 11-7 seconds, but it's unlikely to have drastic effects on her viability.

3. Riven

Riven has had some strength for a few patches now, and though her power is measured through the player, her kit definitely helps make players look better. As she had her Valor (E) ability buffed in Patch 11.13, she has shown to be a versatile pick that is nearly unstoppable if a player can get ahead early on.

4. Sett

Sett is still showing high relevance despite some nerfs that may have taken him down a few notches. Perhaps it's due to sheer determination to get this character into the meta of the top lane, but Sett offers a lot of interesting utility that can grab the problem in team fights with his ultimate ability, The Show Stopper (R).

5. Camille

The blade-legged top laner has risen as the best pick to play in the lane. As the meta is currently favoring top laners who can both roam effectively and provide a large amount of damage, Camille embodies that philosophy almost perfectly.
