Epic Games and The Walt Disney Company shocked the world when they announced their future plans to bring a multiverse-inspired entertainment universe to current and future video games. The Walt Disney Company invested $1.5 billion in Epic Games to bring stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more to Epic Games' titles, including Fortnite. Although the full scope of their upcoming plans are still largely unknown, we do know that iconic characters could be entering Fortnite as early as this year.

5 Future Fortnite x Disney Collaborations Likely Coming in 2024

As pointed out by reliable Fortnite leaker, SamLeakss on X, there are plenty of notable Disney franchises and characters in the first released keyart for the Epic Games x Disney collaboration. Here's the 5 likely Disney crossovers we could see in Fortnite as early as 2024.

1. Avatar

Of all the possible crossovers coming to Fortnite, Avatar currently has the most potential. Before Disney's recent acquisition even took place, leaks surfaced about a possible Fortnite x Avatar collaboration. Now, after the merger, the crossover feels inevitable. With Avatar 3 set to release next year, what better way to promote the upcoming film, or celebrate the success of the first two, then releasing the characters in Fortnite?

2. Cars

Iconic characters from Cars joining Fortnite makes perfect sense. With the launch of Rocket Racing and Epic Games' continued collaborations with Fortnite and Rocket League, the addition of Lightning McQueen, Sally, and Cruz is a no-brainer. Players could race around one of the Rocket Racing tracks as the Piston Cup winner or find a car in a Battle Royale game to effectively rotate. Either way, Cars and Fortnite are a great match.

3. Moana

With the recent announcement of Moana 2 in the works, Disney might jump at the chance to promote the highly anticipated sequel in Fortnite. Even if the current map undergoes significant changes in 2024, there will always be water and at least one yacht/boat that could easily double as a Moana 2 crossover. Plus, Disney and Epic Games could even release a Creative map that gives fans Moana-inspired mini-games as a way to earn extra XP.

4. Star Wars

Star Wars will undoubtedly be in Fortnite in 2024. Even before Disney acquired an equity stake in Epic Games, everyone's favorite (and least favorite) Star Wars characters have joined the Battle Royale, including Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Ahsoka Tano, and Padmé Amidala. Moving forward, fans can expect even bigger crossovers, perhaps as early as May 4, 2024, annual Star Wars Day. And yes, Lightsabers will surely make their return to Fortnite.

5. Frozen

Frozen is simply too big to not be in Fortnite. As one of the most successful franchises in Disney history, Frozen would be at the top of any collaboration plans. From Anna, Elsa, and Olaf skins to a "Let It Go" Jam Track for Fortnite Festival, the films provide several avenues to include Frozen in Fortnite. As more and more ice begins to melt on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 map, perhaps we could see Elsa enter the Fortnite lore to bring more snow to the Battle Royale.
