By Nick O'Neil
The five most popular Warzone perks currently make up most player loadouts for a reason.
Given the vast amount of perk offerings in Call of Duty: Warzone, it may come as a surprise that so many players are using the same perks. Check out the five most popular Warzone perks via loot share data below and why players are using them.
5 Most Popular Warzone Perks Explained
1. Amped
Amped allows for faster weapon swaps and increased launcher reload speeds. Given the widespread prevalence of vehicles on Verdansk many players opt to use rocket launchers as their secondary weapon of choice. When a vehicle is coming towards you, it's extremely important to be able to fire before they can run you over. Amped allows players to quickly switch to a launcher and demolish any vehicle that becomes a threat.
2. Overkill
Overkill enables the use of two primary weapons in custom loadouts. Since engaging enemies in Verdansk can happen at a variety of ranges. overkill allows players to be ready regardless of where the fight takes place. Whether using a sniper and a rifle, or a rifle and an SMG, overkill allows players to gain an edge by using the most optimal weapon in every situation.
3. EOD
EOD causes players to take less explosive damage from all non-killstreak sources. Given the widespread use of C4, Claymores, and RPG's, EOD can make the difference between surviving and heading to the gulag. This perk allows players to hold their ground when being pushed with C4 and other explosives, while also enabling the ability to push through questionable territory due to reduced fear of explosive damage.
4. Ghost
Ghost is a Warzone staple that allows players to remain undetected from UAV's, radar drones, as well as heartbeat sensors. Since location information can have such a strong impact in Warzone, this explains why so many players opt to use this perk.
5. Cold Blooded
Cold Blooded makes players undetectable to AI targeting systems and more importantly to thermal optics. Thermal optics can reveal even the most hidden players quite easily. As such, it makes sense that cold-blooded is so widely prevalent as any means to avoid detection is always powerful.
