5 Things We Want in League of Legends Patch 11.8
As we approach the release of League of Legends Patch 11.8 players are bursting with excitement over the possible changes that Riot may have in store. With the addition of the new champion Gwen there's a strong chance that Riot will push to make moves that solidify her as a viable pick, but with no info on what's to come there's a great amount of room to speculate what will happen.
Here's a list of five things we want in League of Legends Patch 11.8.
5 Things We Want in League of Legends Patch 11.8
Return of the Mages
It's been quite clear to players for a while now that mages have taken a massive blow. Following the debuff to Seeker's Armguard mages were all but dead. The one dominant mid lane mages didn't have the defenses needed to stand up to the assassins. But maybe this patch we'll see a few item tweaks that'll even the playing field.
Gwen
On the surface this may seem like an obvious ask with Gwen being confirmed to release with patch 11.8, but Mark Yetter described Gwen as a champion with the tools capable of going "toe-to-toe with other front liners." The current meta doesn't favor a character like her at all but if Yetter is giving out such high praises then she must be a formidable addition.
Split Pushing Buffs
For a while now Riot has talked about their push to encourage teams to split push against their enemies. To the point where they've contemplated giving out buffs to reward those players that do. This is really inventive and would also be a really effective at changing the way the game is played currently. It just has to be a balanced properly to avoid bordering on the ridiculous.
Space Groove Skins
This is also borders on the obvious but the space groove skins have been the talk of League of Legends before they ever touched the PBE. If they live up to the hype people will be spending massive amounts RP to get these skins for their favorite champions.
Love in the Top Lane
The top lane has been the recipient of some pretty harsh balance changes in the past. While the role did start out season 11 incredibly broken there haven't been too many changes meant explicitly to improve the top lane. Whether it's a new item or the split pushing buff discussed earlier it'd be really refreshing to see the top lane get a little boost.
