5 Warzone Areas That Need to be Revamped
Warzone's Verdansk map has been around since the game's inception in March 2020. Although it has become a staple of the Call of Duty franchise and players have grown accustomed to its intricacies, the map has a few issues that could be addressed to make Warzone's gameplay a more balanced and exciting experience.
The Black Ops Cold War Season 2 update introduced a few changes to Verdansk. In particular, new points of interest, such as the crash site of the cargo tanker, The Vodianoy, and missile silos, were added to the map. According to a new teaser from Activision, the Zombie outbreak first introduced in the shipwreck POI may be spreading to other parts of Verdansk. Although these changes have kept the map fresh, there are few areas that could use an update of their own. The following is a list of the five areas that need to be revamped in Warzone.
5 Warzone Areas That Need to be Revamped
Downtown
The Downtown area of Warzone is one of its most memorable, but also one of the most controversial, as some players argue that it is filled with campers. More offensive options against players camping on top of buildings, in addition to mobility options to reach contracts where these players may be located, would make Downtown a more competitive area.
Stadium
Another staple of Verdansk, Stadium seems to host some of the bloodiest encounters in Warzone. With its ample size and openness, this area is a perilous one to cross. Not only is it time consuming to get across stadium, but you can also easily get caught between two teams engaged in a firefight. More options for traversing the stadium and avoiding these sorts of encounters should be introduced.
Farmland
Farmland is one of the more boring location of Verdansk. It is an extensive flat area scarcely filled with one-dimensional houses. The main issue with Farmland is the lack of defensive options against campers who are waiting on top or within the houses. Players running across the fields desperate to reach the inner circle could be sitting ducks. Additionally, the area is quite static and provides players with little incentive for visiting it.
Airport
The Verdansk International Airport suffers from issues related to camping. The tower in the airport injects a good dose of realism into the game, but at the same time, enables excessive camping. Players who have ever traversed the airport will surely have, at one point, encountered enemies perched up on top of the tower.
Prison
Prison is one of the more intriguing zones in Warzone, but hosts a few drawback of its own. There is only one way to reach the top of the prison, which makes it a perfect spot for campers to hole up. The area is also quite isolated from the rest of the map, making it an unattractive location for most players to visit.
