Pokémon Let's Go Mystery Gift: How to Get Mew

Pokémon Let's Go Mystery Gift returns in the latest entry in the Pokémon franchise: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee. Mystery Gifting is a feature that allows players to redeem codes, earn special Pokémon during limited time events, and in the case of Pokémon Let's Go, connect a Poké Ball Plus to redeem Mew. 

Here's how you to use the Pokémon Let's Go Mystery Gift feature.

​​Per the ​Nintendo support website, here's a step-by-step process to using the Mystery Gift feature.

Pokémon Let's Go Mystery Gift

1. Launch Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee! from the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu 

2. Press the X Button during gameplay to access the in-game menu.

3. Select "Communicate"

- This option becomes available after you have battled your Rival for the first time

4. Select "Mystery Gifts

- Receiving Gift via Internet

5. Select "Get Via Internet" and select "Yes" to continue

6. The game will search for any gifts that are currently available

7. Once you have received a gift, it will be in your Pokémon Box and you can add it to your party

- Receiving Gift via Download Code/Password

5. Select "Get With Code / Password" and select "Yes" twice to continue

6. Enter the code you received and tap "OK"

7. Same as previous Step 7

- Receiving Gift via Poké Ball Plus

5. Select "Get with a Poké Ball Plus"

- This option will only apepar when you are using the Poké Ball Plus as your in-game controller

6. You will see a message that says: "A Pokémon is in your Poké Ball Plus. It's a present for you!" Select "Yes" twice to connect to the internet and receive the Pokémon

7. Same as previous Step 7

Currently, the only Pokémon available via Mystery Gift in Pokémon Let's Go is Mew. Owners must have the Poké Ball Plus accessory to obtain mew.
