Aelfgar or Hunwald is one of AC Valhalla's toughest choices. Players have the chance to vote for the next Ealdorman of Lincolnshire in the quest Where the Stone Falls in Chapter 4 of The Lay of Hunwald. Here's what happens in the game base on your choice.

Aelfgar or Hunwald AC Valhalla: How to Decide

Aelfgar and Hunwald are two of three possible options from which the player can choose. The third option is Bishop Herefrith.

Choosing Bishop Herefith will end the questline, but you'll have to assassinate him later, as he's part of the Order of the Ancients.

Choosing Aelfgar means Hunwald and Swanburrow will accompany the player to Ravensthorpe.

Choosing either Aelfgar or Hunwald will keep the alliance with Raven Clan intact. It will also prompt Herefrith to attempt to kill all the nobles at the Shiremoot, leading the player directly to assassinating him in the quest A Sword-Shower in Anecastre.
