Players can create custom designs from their phones using a variety of colors available to them. There are quite a few color schemes players can choose from regarding their design and each design can be seen in both a pixelated and a canvas view.

Once players upgrade their housing from a tent to a true homestead, the "pro" option appears for the custom design app. This allows a much wider range of usage for designs including clothing, wallpaper, flooring, mugs, hats, and more. Upgrading also allows players to download designs that others have made via QR code.

There is no limit to what can be made wear and how. All players need to do is select what item of clothing they wish to map their design to and then design away. It only takes a few moments to bring any creation that doesn't already exist in the game to life.

When opening the pro app and selecting a new design, players will be brought to a screen where they can select exactly what type of clothing they wish to make. These sample patterns are available in three categories: dress, shirt, and hat. Within these categories there are even more options to choose from.
