Animal Crossing New Horizons Map Planner is something fans of the franchise have been hoping for to bide time until the game's release.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the fifth entry in the main series and first in seven years. It's also the first entry on the Nintendo Switch. Animal Crossing fans can't wait to build a new island, but thankfully they don't have to wait to start planning.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Map Planner: Fan Creates Custom Map Editor

"Hi all! So I had a bunch of comments on my post yesterday asking how I created said map and a few people seemed disappointed that it used photo-editing software. A few others also showed hope that someone would eventually make an island planner tool online. I noted this and well, with myself having nothing planned to do today, I whipped one up," the Reddit user said in the post's comments.

The map editor, designed in Google Sheets, lets fans of the series plan out their islands ahead of time. The editor has even undergone updates since its Tuesday post.
