Another month brings another Apex Legends' Legends tier list. This time, with Season 8 right on the horizon(no pun intended), as well as a new Legend in Fuse, let's take a look at what's changed in the Legend rankings. Keep in mind, the upcoming Season 8 buffs and nerfs will be accounted for in the tier list.

S Tier- Wraith, Bloodhound, Gilbatrar

Wraith may be receiving a nerf next season, but it's not the first time Respawn has tried to balance her. She always seems to rise up to the top so even with a nerf she gets the benefit of the doubt and remains at the top of the tier list.

Bloodhound is an amazing choice for both new and veteran players alike. He's terrific at both ambushing foes and watching out for ambushes. And his ultimate, in the hands of a good player, can allow him to wipe out entire squads on his own.

Gilbatrar is simple, but he's the best legend for new players. His dome shield is very useful in combat and also protects him and his team against third parties. His passive ability makes him even harder to kill, and his ultimate can destroy enemies foolish enough to be out in the open.

A Tier - Lifeline, Pathfinder, Revenant, Crypto

Lifeline is a great supporting legend, her health drone can make a real difference in the heat of a battle, and her ability to revive legends while also being able to fight is one of the strongest abilities in the game. Her ultimate calls down special loot that upgrades a team's arsenal, although there is the drawback of alerting other teams of her position.

After receiving heavy nerfs, Pathfinder's grapple cooldown got buffed in Season 7, making him a worthwhile option again. Considering how much Apex revolves around movement and positioning, his abilities are very powerful in combat, although his passive is disappointing compared to the rest of his arsenal.

B Tier - Caustic, Bangalore, Wattson, Mirage, Horizon

Caustic and Bangalore are both in the tricky situation where a good player can make them super effective at both damage and support. However, a bad player can actually make things harder for their own teammates if their ability is used the wrong way. Thus, they both land in B tier due to their volatility.

Wattson is a purely defensive champion, which makes her a high floor but low ceiling legend. If you can set up a shot somewhere, then Wattson can essentially make an electrical fortress. But she's exposed out in the open, as none of her abilities are useful for rushing an opponent and are hard to use on the move.

Mirage is a great legend against newer players that can be easily fooled. However, the higher you go in rank, the less useful Mirage becomes as his holograms and deceptive tactics can be sniffed out by more experienced players.

Horizon came out a few months ago and had a very strong debut. Her tactical ability is very strong and is useful in almost any situation. On the run? Her gravity lift can help you escape. In battle? The lift can allow you to reposition with ease. Trying to get the jump on a team? The lift can give you the high ground. That's why it's receiving a nerf next season, and why she moves down a tier, for now at least. Her ultimate, while not the greatest, is decent at annoying foes, and can provide a useful distraction.

C Tier - Loba, Octane, Rampart

Loba's ability is great for looting but she's at the bottom because she really only has one useful ability in battle. Her bracelet is good at fleeing and repositioning, but since it can only teleport Loba, it forces her to abandon her team in battle. Maybe it'll be more useful in solo playlists, which are coming in Season 8, but for now, she's at the bottom.

Like Loba, maybe Octane will be stronger in solo playlist's but right now he doesn't offer much to a team. His ultimate bounce pad has basically been replaced by Horizon, and his other abilities only benefit him. If a player wanted to pick a legend that can wipe other teams by themselves, Wraith is a better option anyway.

Rampart got a buff to her Amped cover, but that doesn't fix her fundamental flaw which is that it takes too long for her to set up her kit. In theory, being able to create a barrier through which only you can shoot out of is strong, but her ultimate minigun takes too long to set up and her covers also take time to set up. If they can buff the time it takes for her to get her arsenal ready, then maybe she can move up a tier.
