Apex Legends Season 7 Battle Pass Changes Detailed
Designed to match the prestige of the new map Olympus, a floating utopian city that once hosted brightest minds in the Outlands, the theme of the Apex Legends Season 7 Battle Pass is high fashion.
While players have been given a peek at new digs for Wraith and Octane, the main changes to Apex Legends' newest battle pass are to its challenge system as Respawn aims to make it much easier to view partial progress toward the next level.
Challenges are no longer points-based with CP. Instead, challenges will award players one to five stars depending on their difficulty. Each star is worth 1/10th of a level, and each star fills in a slot on the new star meter. When the meter is full with 10 stars, the level is awarded and the meter is reset.
Objectives and rewards are also facing an overhaul.
In addition to simply introducing new challenge objectives and rewards, recurring weekly challenges are now classified as daily challenges going forward, making all weekly challenges unique and consistently difficult. XP challenges also return, but now award players one star for each 10,000 XP earned.
Lastly, there are two battle pass UI improvements coming to Apex Legends with the launch of Season 7.
The new challenge tracker sorts events into category tabs with the challenges closest to completion prioritized higher in the list, and is viewable both in the lobby and in game.
Respawn also claims that the end of match summary has been improved to show key challenge information and battle pass progress more clearly.
