Best Combat Shotgun Vanguard Class Loadout: Which Attachments to Use
This best Combat Shotgun Vanguard class loadout guide is here for those who want to make sure they're using the fully optimized version of the top-tier shotty.
It's week one with Vanguard multiplayer officially here, and needless to say, players are already trying to figure out what the best guns to use are. While the STG44 and MP-40 have quickly established themselves as the kings of the meta at the moment, the Combat Shotgun has loudly become one of, if not the most frustrating weapon to run into. For those looking to be complete menaces to society on Das Haus before the gun likely gets nerfed, here are the attachments to use for the best Combat Shotgun class loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard at launch.
Best Combat Shotgun Vanguard Class Loadout: Which Attachments to Use
- Muzzle: M97 Full Choke
- Underbarrel: SMLE Pistol Grip
- Barrel: Sawed-Off
- Magazine: 16 Gauge 10 Round Drums
- Ammo Type: Packed Powder
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Stock: CGC 3M Adjustable
- Proficiency: Vital
- Kit: Quick
The M97 Full Choke is a great muzzle to use here as it gives the Combat Shotgun that tighter pellet spread, making it easier to get those broken one-shot kills.
With the underbarrel, we went with the SMLE Pistol Grip as it helps out with the shotgun's sprint-to-fire speed and hip-fire accuracy.
Next, the Sawed-Off barrel is perhaps the single most important attachment for this class as it makes the Combat Shotgun just completely broken when hip firing.
For the magazine, we'd go with the 16 Gauge 10 Round Drums attachment as having that extra capacity is simply a game-changer. It makes it essentially the 725 from Modern Warfare on steroids with a 10-round mag.
To make this gun even more broken, go with the Packed Powder ammo type as the increased damage range makes the Combat Shotgun that much more lethal.
Add on the Fabric Grip as well as it improves the Combat Shotgun's ADS and sprint-to-fire speeds, as well as benefits its hip fire recoil recovery.
We also recommend adding the CGC 3M Adjustable stock to improve the weapon's hip fire accuracy, as well as its aim walking movement, ADS and sprint-to-fire speeds.
Lastly, for the MP-40's two weapon perks, we'd opt for Vital and Quick to further help you run around the map one-shotting enemies.
With the 10th slot being the optic, it ultimately comes down to personal preference, but it's likely best to just leave it off for the best possible ADS speed.
