The best meta SMG loadout in MW3 Warzone might look familiar to veteran Battle Royale players.

Unlike the long-range meta, the close-range options in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 did not receive many nerfs in the latest patch. Instead, the SMGs from Warzone Season 1 Reloaded remained elite choices on Urzikstan, and now, Fortune's Keep. Plus, the RAM-9, a new SMG from the Season 2 Battle Pass, entered the meta conversation after just one day in the game. The close-range meta has never been so competitive in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 era as it is right now.

With so many choices, narrowing down the best SMG to use in Warzone is anything but an easy task, so we compiled the two best meta SMGs in MW3 Warzone Season 2.

Best Meta SMG Loadout in MW3 Warzone Season 2

The best meta SMG in MW3 Warzone Season 2 is still the AMR9. The SMG dominated Warzone Season 1 Reloaded, and without a proper nerf in the latest patch, the weapon is not dropping from its top spot in the close-range meta anytime soon.

"I can't believe they didn't nerf this gun," Swagg explains. "It's the best SMG in the game." He goes on to describe what makes the weapon so great, from its "low recoil and high damage" to simply how fast it kills. "It's just a very easy-to-use gun."

Although the JAK BFB Muzzle got nerfed in Warzone Season 2, the attachment still does its job effectively, so much so that almost all of the professional players are still using it on the AMR9.

Best RAM-9 Loadout in MW3 Warzone Season 2

If you are looking to try out a new SMG that could easily find its way into the meta, then you will want to use the RAM-9. The DLC weapon is almost just as good as the HRM-9 and the AMR9, and is a fun gun to test out on Fortune's Keep.
