Best Warzone 2 Assault Rifles After RPK Nerf
As the new meta for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 takes shape, players want to know the best assault rifles to run after the recent RPK nerf.
Since Warzone 2's release, the RPK has dominated Al Mazrah. The LMG's low recoil and high damage made the gun by far the best weapon to use for long-range gunfights.
After the RPK still reigned supreme at the beginning of Season 2, the weapon finally received a nerf that dropped it from the top stop in the current meta. As per the Patch Notes, the RPK's initial bullet vertical recoil and horizontal recoil were both increased. Additionally, its damage ranged was reduced.
Now that the RPK is no longer as lethal, what are the best ARs to run on Al Mazrah and Ashika Island?
Best Warzone 2 Assault Rifles After RPK Nerf
ISO Hemlock
The ISO Hemlock is the best AR, and arguably the best gun, to run in the Battle Royale right now. As a functional weapon from the new Battle Pass, the ISO Hemlock took the scene by surprise with its absurd TTK and almost negative recoil.
The gun kills so quickly it was recently banned from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play. Check out the best ISO Hemlock loadout here.
TAQ-56
The TAQ-56 is closely behind the ISO Hemlock. Although the gun does not kill as quickly and requires a bit more skill to handle, the SCAR is a versatile AR that will get the job done.
The TAQ-56 is also the best AR to use in Ranked Play. Check out the best TAQ-56 loadout for Ranked here.
Kastov-74u
The Kastov-74u is still the best AR to use in close-range gunfights. The AR is also a great support weapon for a sniper, ideally the Signal 50.
Another Kastovia AR, the Kastov 762, is a good option for Al Mazrah, but with a recent nerf to its damage ranges, the Kastov-74u is the better choice to win gunfights from all ranges.
