Black Ops Cold War Assault Rifle Tier List: February 2021
Another month of Call of Duty has come and gone and so far we've seen a few weapons move up and down the ladder in terms of their effectiveness in-game. So without further ado here is an up-to-date tier list for the Assault Rifles in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Black Ops Cold War Assault Rifle Tier List:
Now let's get something straight, all of the Assault Rifles in this game are good. You can go into just about any lobby in Cold War and more than half the people in the game will be using either an AR or the Ak74u nine times out of 10. They are just that good. Regardless we know that some are always going to be better than others which is why we have compiled this tier list for you guys.
S-Tier: The Skull Smasher
- Krig-6
The Krig has been the best AR in Black Ops Cold War ever since the beta first went live for the game. It is no wonder that this is the first choice weapon for many of the top AR players in the Call of Duty League. With the right attachments, this monster of an AR will allow you to quickly snap on to your targets at ease.
A-Tier: Always Good
- XM4
- AK-47
The XM4 may not have been as much of a standout back when the game first launched but over the past couple of months it has really established itself as one of the best weapons in Black Ops Cold War. Both the XM4 and the AK-47 are quite versatile at any range, which is a good thing when you consider how narrow some of the lanes on these maps can be. They aren't quite as much of a headshot machine as the Krig but they will still get the job done.
B-Tier: Its' Good?
- FFAR-1
- Groza-1
Now we descend into what I like to call the vortex of uncertainty. The FFAR-1 has been at the center of many of the Black Ops Cold War weapon balancing patches in recent times. At the start of the game, it was the ultimate spray-and-pray weapon that would win you just about every gunfight. Then after a few days, it got nerfed to oblivion only to gain some of its former glory midway through the launch of Season 1. We never know whether this weapon is going to become a world-beater or just another brick in the wall. If anything this thing is on the border of B and C tier on this list.
The Groza is another weapon that is in a bit of an uncertain place. Yes, it is a lot of fun to use, it is pretty much your bog standard AR-SMG hybrid weapon. There really isn't much else that needs to be said about this weapon other than that.
C-Tier: That One I Saw In Gun-game
- QBZ-83
The QBZ is another one of those strange weapons in the game much like the FFAR in Cold War. It is actually a decent weapon to use and can be a lot of fun in the right hands. But when it comes to the other ARs in the game, this one is likely to fall under the radar with most people opting for the Krig or AK47.
