Black Ops Cold War Price, Cross-Gen, Release Date Confirmed

Black Ops Cold War editions, prices and release dates have just been confirmed by Activision. The new information comes after the title was formally announced by Activision after a series of clues that led fans on a theory-crafting treasure hunt. This Call of Duty release is especially interesting because it's set to release pretty close to when the new consoles will hit the shelves. To remedy this, Activision has announced they will be releasing a "cross-gen" version of the game available for purchase. Let's take a look at the specific editions and their prices.

Black Ops Cold War Editions and Price Confirmed

Standard Edition- $59.99

The standard edition comes with a copy of Black Ops Cold War and the Confrontation weapon pack. Pre-ordering this edition will grant players early access to the beta, a Frank Woods operator, and an assault rifle weapon blueprint for immediate use in the game.

Cross-Gen Bundle- $69.99

The cross-gen bundle will reward players with all of the benefits of the standard edition but will be able to be played on both the current generation consoles and the ones being released later this year. While the standard edition will be able to be played on both consoles, it will not feature any updated graphics--the cross-gen bundle will unlock all of the hardware included in the new consoles. There has also been mention of Modern Warfare and Warzone content for those who pre-order the cross-gen bundle, but it's unclear what these rewards will be.

Ultimate Edition- $89.99

The ultimate edition includes everything from the cross-gen bundle and additional rewards. In addition to the Black Ops Cold War rewards from the other editions, the ultimate edition includes three new operator skins, vehicle skins, and weapon blueprints in addition to the battle pass bundle. The battle pass bundle will include the Season 1 battle pass for Black Ops Cold War and 20 tier skips. Additionally, the ultimate edition will give players 10 tier skips for use in Modern Warfare.

Black Ops Cold War release date is Nov. 13.

Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen

Black Ops Cold War will have a version that can be played across multiple versions and consoles. Meaning you can buy the game for Xbox One, and then play it later on the Xbox Series X with the same version, keeping your progression.
