Broken One-Shot Lockwood 300 Nerfed in Warzone Dec. 19 Patch
On the first day of CODMAS, the broken one-shot Lockwood 300 finally got nerfed in the Warzone Dec. 19 patch.
The holiday spirit has infiltrated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone to close out 2023. Fans can earn free rewards, from cosmetics to Weapon Blueprints, by playing new LTMs and completing in-game challenges across multiplayer, Zombies, and Battle Royale. The seasonal patch also included weapon changes, Zombies Missions updates, and more to improve gameplay over the holiday break.
In fact, CODMAS delivered the greatest gift of all: a nerf to the one-shot Lockwood 300 shotgun.
Broken One-Shot Lockwood 300 Nerfed in Warzone Dec. 19 Patch
The broken one-shot Lockwood 300 got nerfed again in the Warzone Dec. 19 patch. The shotgun has been ruining Warzone since the DOOM Bundle was released back in October during Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Although the developers handed over several nerfs throughout The Haunting event, the weapon still remained as OP as ever.
Now, the developers officially disabled the Maelstrom Dual Trigger attachment, ending the shotgun's reign of terror in Warzone.
CODUpdates posted on X, "We've deployed an update to disable the use of the Maelstrom Dual Trigger Attachment on the Lockwood 300 Shotgun in public Playlists." They added, "It will remain visible in the Gunsmith but will not be usable in a match."
The community reacted with glee at the latest weapon change; until the developers can fix the Lockwood 300, it is best for the game to simply disable the attachment that makes it unstoppable.
Here's the Best Weapons on Urzikstan During CODMAS
Now that the Lockwood 300 has been nerfed, the two best weapons to use on Urzikstan during CODMAS are the MTZ-556 and WSP Swarm. If you are looking for a battle rifle instead, then go for the BAS-B. Either way, you will dominate long-range engagements, and with the WSP Swarm SMG as your secondary, you will also win your close quarters gunfights (as long as you hit your shots).
