Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Pre-Load: Times to Know
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War pre-load times are something you need to know if you want to get into the game right away. Fans are anxiously awaiting the release of the newest entry into the COD series on Nov. 13. But it is important to be all ready to go when that time comes, that’s where pre-loading comes in.
If you don’t what know what pre-loading is, it’s when games are available to download before their release date. That way, if you have a slow internet connection, or just want to hop in right when the game releases at midnight, then you can download the game days in advance. Unfortunately, you cannot play the game early, but you will be ready to start burning away hours the very second it comes out.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Pre-Load
If you are playing on consoles then rejoice, because you can already pre-load the game! If you’ve pre-ordered the game then the option to pre-load has been available for nearly a month. Get on it! Watch out for the file size though, like other COD games, this one is massive, though not as massive as Warzone. The file sizes are as follows
- Xbox One: 93GB
- Xbox Series X/S: 136 GB
- PlayStation 4: 95GB
- PlayStation 5: 133GB
The extra file size on the upcoming consoles is to increase texture quality and support higher game quality. Obviously those consoles are not out yet, but they are set to release before Cold War itself. Thankfully the second you get your hands on an Xbox Series X/S or a PS5 you’ll be able to pre-load it.
The story is a bit different on PC. Pre-loading will be unlocked on Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. ET through the Battle.net launcher. PC offers more options for downloads as well, allowing players to split the download to tailor the game to their needs.
