Call of Duty (COD) content creator and streamer FaZe Swagg recently took to YouTube to discuss the viability of the MP5 in Warzone Pacific.

In a new video uploaded to his YouTube channel on Monday, Jan. 3, Swagg published his take on how the MP5 is performing in Warzone Pacific within the Caldera map. He compared the gun to its cousin, the MP40, directly taking an MP5 loadout from Tik Tok to use in a match.

"I don't know what it is about this gun," he said, "[Tik Tok creators] will always stand by this gun because it looks the flashiest, they think it plays the best up close, and no matter what gun comes into the game they're always going to make Tik Toks with...the MP5."

FaZe Swagg Discusses Ever-popular MP5 Loadout

So, he decided to test the gun for himself. Swagg's loadout class for the MP5 uses all five available slots:

  • Barrel: Monolithic Integral Suppressor
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mags
  • Perk: Sleight of Hand
  • Stock: FTAC Collapsible
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip

This build increases the weapon's accuracy, range, fire rate, and mobility at a significant cost to its control. Fortunately, that aspect isn't a match-breaking issue, as the MP5 is meant for mid to short-range combat.

Obviously, the name of game, here, is aggression. The 40 Rnd Mags and Sleight of Hand's aid to reload and ADS speed, paired with the FTAC Collapsible's boost to mobility, allows players the chance to line up shots and dive out of the way before their opponent has a chance to recover. Merc Foregrip's added accuracy ties in nicely with this when players don't have those extra seconds to toggle an ADS kill.

Meanwhile, the Monolithic Integral Suppressor on its barrel will increase the weapon's damage velocity while continuing to hide the player's location on the map.

Ultimately, when it comes to facing down Warzone's latest flavor of the month—the akimbo shotguns—having a quick ace in your pocket could be the difference between an embarrassing and noteworthy death.
