Call of Duty: Warzone Player Aydan Publishes Best Long-Range Assault Rifle Build
By Jack O'Dwyer
Professional Call of Duty: Warzone player and content creator Aydan "Aydan" Conrad has released his latest build: a Carbine loadout meant for long-range combat.
Aydan uploaded a new video to his YouTube channel on Sunday, Mar. 6, addressing both the changes in the meta following the latest Warzone update—and accompanying nerf to the popular Bren--and a misjudgment he had made. That's right—even the professionals make mistakes, including Aydan who titled the video "I Was WRONG About the Cooper Carbine In WARZONE."
"I feel like right now is the perfect time to find the new meta and try out different guns," he said, "If I had to rate the [Cooper Carbine], I'd say it's actually one of my favorite ARs in the game right now. I think, long range, it's the best gun."
Below, we've laid out all the attachments and the logic behind the build.
Aydan Publishes Best Long-Range Assault Rifle Build in Warzone
Aydan uses the following attachments in his build:
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Barrel: 22″ Cooper Custom
- Magazine: 9mm 60 Round Drums
- Muzzle: MX Silencer
- Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
- Perk: Tight Grip
- Perk 2: Fully Loaded
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Stock: Cooper 45W
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
The weapon of choice, as mentioned above, is the Carbine Cooper.
As with any good long-range build, this loadout focuses on recoil control and maximizing accuracy with as much range as physically possible.
The Polymer and M1941 Hand Stop control the former aspect which, when paired with the Tight Grip perk, makes the Carbine a deadly accurate rifle. Using the SVT-40 PU Scope allows for players to make their picks without having to get too close—and, of course, defeating the purpose of the "long" long-range.
Meanwhile, adding the 22" Cooper Custom gives the gun a major boost to the range with the MX Silencer acting as additional control with sound suppression, to boot. The Lengthened Ammunition ensures that bullets don't take their sweet time to hit the player's targets despite the additional distance.
"I think it shoots better at far range than the Automaton," said Aydan, though he did note that Automaton may perform better at medium-range so players may want to defer to their preference.
