Can Paras be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
Paras has yet to have a Community Day event, but has been available as a Shiny before. According to the Silph Road, Paras is currently unavailable as a Shiny at the time of writing.
Normally, Pokémon who get a Shiny Form are always available as Shiny after being introduced. It's unknown when Paras will return to the game as Shiny.
There's still a way to get your hands on a Shiny Paras right now, but it's not as helpful as it sounds. If you know someone with a Shiny Paras, you'll be able to trade for it.
Shiny Paras will be best served for filling out a collection, as its evolved form, Parasect, is one of the worst Pokémon in the game in terms of battle.
Keep your eye out for a Community Day event — that is, if Paras ever gets one. It's unusual that Paras wasn't included with the Autumn event, when other mushroom themed Pokémon were featured. We'll have to wait for a Shiny Paras for now.
