Can you play Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice on PS5? With the next console generation upon us, there aren't many new exclusives to play. Many launch titles are also out for the now last-gen PS4, but you'll be able to play some older games with optimizations from the hardware. Sekiro runs great on PS5, and it's easy to get the game again.

Can You Play Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice on PS5?
Luckily, Sony makes it easy to play Sekiro on your shiny new PS5. If you have the game on a physical disc for PS4, it's as simple as popping it in to the PS5. It's backwards compatible with most PS4 games.
Unfortunately, this won't work with the disc-less PS5 for obvious reasons. If you own Sekiro on digital from the PlayStation Store, you'll be able to re-download it to your PS5.
Sony warns that some features on the PS4 version won't be usable in the PS5 and some errors my occur, but that doesn't seem to be the case for Sekiro. The game gets to take advantage of the PS5's new hardware boost, running at a slick 60 frames per second.
If you haven't dived into the 2019 Game of the Year, the game is on sale right now for $39 on the PlayStation Store until Nov.21.
