Ceruledge Pokémon Violet: What We Know So Far

Here's what we know about Ceruledge in Pokémon Violet.

The upcoming installment Pokemon Violet recently announced a brand new Pokemon exclusive to the game, named Ceruledge. The newest addition is the rival to Armarouge, the exclusive Pokemon to the sister title Pokemon Scarlet.

Ceruledge Pokémon Violet: What We Know So Far

According to the game's description, Ceruledge "dons an old set of armor steeped in grudges and wields blades made of fire and ghost energy. In battle, these blades transform into great swords to increase Ceruledge’s power. Cuts from these great swords leave wounds from which life energy will flow." From the description alone, it's clear Ceruledge means business. Here's the full breakdown of Ceruledge's stats:

• Ability: Flash Fire

The new Pokemon also has quite the personality, as it's said to do "anything to win" including sneak attacks and surprise attacks on its opponents. Compared to other Pokemon, Ceruledge is a close quarters combatant and uses its swords to slash opponents.

One of the cooler moves in the game, Bitter Blade is an ability that Ceruledge will be able to learn and add to its arsenal. The attack is a " is a Fire-type physical move that gathers the lingering regrets of the fallen into Ceruledge’s swords, allowing it to focus that bitterness into a slashing attack." If successful, it'll add HP back to Ceruledge as well, making it an extremely useful technique.

With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's November release date fastly approaching, it won't be long until fans can get their hands on this new unique Pokemon.
