Core Keeper Ancient Pickaxe: Where to Find
Wondering how to get the Ancient Pickaxe in Core Keeper? We've got you covered.
Considering that Core Keeper is a sandbox game focused on mining, there's certainly no surprise that the Ancient Pickaxe, the current best and rarest of its kind, is highly sought after in the game at the moment. Here's a breakdown of how to get the Ancient Pickaxe in Core Keeper.
Core Keeper Ancient Pickaxe: Where to Find
Given the rare nature of the item, the Ancient Pickaxe is a bit tough to acquire.
Prior to Patch 0.3.1, players seemed to be able to find the Ancient Pickaxe inside a skull tomb in Azeos’ Wilderness.
Now, it appears the only way to get the Ancient Pickaxe is by having it drop after defeating Azeos the Sky Titan in the aforementioned Azeos' Wilderness.
One of the three titans in the game, Azeos the Sky Titan is a boss that players will eventually face as they advance through the story.
Players can use the Azeos the Sky Titan Scanner to locate its position on the map. You'll know you're in the right place as the arena is fully lit, there are many bird droppings and feathers on the ground and a giant bird shadow can be seen passing by occasionally.
To spawn or respawn Azeos, players need to place a Large Shiny Glimmering Object anywhere in the arena. It may up to 10 minutes for its shadow to reappear before you can respawn it. The object can be crafted by talking to the Spirit Merchant that appears when placing the Ancient Hologram Pod on the ground.
Once you've defeated Azeos, it's guaranteed to drop a Titan's Chest and a Soul of Azeos, but only has a 4.12% chance of dropping an Ancient Pickaxe.
Ultimately, the Ancient Pickaxe is well worth the effort needed to obtain it as the Epic Tool increases both your mining prowess and melee damage.
Spearheaded by the efforts of developer Pugstorm and publisher Fireshine Games, Core Keeper is a 1-8 player mining sandbox game that invites players to build up a base, fight various monsters, farm resources and craft items in order to survive underground.
