Credible Apex Legends Informant Shrugtal Details Cut Rampart Buffs
By Jack O'Dwyer
Shrugtal, one of the most well-known Apex Legends dataminers, has revealed files for a Rampart buff that have yet to hit the live game.
In a tweet published on Friday, Apr. 1, Shrugtal explained that there was a collection of buffs relating to Rampart that didn't end up making the "final cut" for Amped Cover and are not currently featured in the live game. Some have taken this to mean that a potential buff for the legend is in the works while others took note of the publication date, throwing the entire segment of information into question.
So, is Rampart due for a buff in Apex Legends?
Is Rampart Getting a Buff in Apex Legends?
DBLTAP cannot verify whether or not Respawn Entertainment has any plans to buff Rampart at the time of writing.
However, this doesn't mean that Shrugtal's information was incorrect. Quite the opposite, actually, as snippets of code containing the exact buffs detailed in their tweet have been circulating as early as half an hour after their post—corroborated by fellow credible dataminer, KralRindo. The buffs are as follows:
- Initial building health: 40 -> 120
- Upper arm shield extension delay: 0.25 -> 0.10
- Front armor deploy duration: 0.5 -> 0.3
- Placement delay: 0.5 -> 0.3
If any legend could use a buff, it would be Rampart since she has the lowest pick rate in the game as of Season 12. Rampart fans certainly seem excited about the prospect if the post's replies are anything to go by. Whether or not Respawn has any intention of pushing these changes has yet to be seen.
