Cyberpunk 2077 Dex or Evelyn: Who Should You Side With?

Early in the game, you are brought to a decision when Evelyn is trying to cut Dex out of a deal and you will get 50% of the earnings in your heist. In this dialogue, you are given the option to agree, disagree, or not comment about Evelyn trying to cut Dex out of the deal.

Later in the game, you will meet with Dex, and you can choose to tell him everything is fine and go about your heist, or you can tell him that Evelyn was trying to cut him out of the deal. This will make Dex promise you a higher cut in the heist. This will also lead to leverage when speaking with Dex later in the Afterlife Bar to negotiate a better cut along with Jackie. He will agree to a higher price.

Spoilers lie ahead for anyone looking to figure out is they should select to tell Dex or not.

The unfortunate thing is that this decision in the long run doesn't seem to matter. Dex and Evelyn's relationship isn't hindered, and you don't see any difference between them before the heist. However, the heist goes bad, a prominent figure is killed, and Dex betrays you in order to save himself. Whilst dealing with your "dead" body, he too is killed, so making any allegiance with him is pointless. 

This decision ends up leading to the same spot and is mostly created for your character to feel the tension in the game prior to the heist.
