Cyberpunk 2077: Nocture Op55N1 Choice: Ending Guide
By Jack O'Dwyer
Cyberpunk 2077's plot eventually comes to end with the Nocture Op5N1 choice: the culmination of everything V has worked toward.
Like any true RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 has several endings available for each run through. CD Projekt Red implemented a variety of choices for V resulting in a different epilogue for their final seconds. Nocture Op55N1 is the last main job the player is tasked with within the story of Cyberpunk 2077. The choices made throughout the game and in these moments will dictate the path V's life will take to the very end. Below, we've outlined exactly which choice results in which end.
Readers who may be sensitive to topics surrounding suicide, self-harm, and/or depression should be cautious before reading further.
Cyberpunk 2077: Nocture Op55N1 Choice
First, after talking to Misty, V is presented with the option to call their love interest. This determines whether they are alone or not in the epilogue.
Now, the real choice. There are five total endings V can achieve at the end of this mission. Of course, a few of them depend on whether the player has followed key NPCs' stories to the end. Each of the first three endings includes the same battle with Adam Smasher and the same ultimate choice at the end: give V their six months left or hand their body over to Johnny.
1. Trust Hanako
V takes their omega blockers and decides to trust Hanako and is prompted to break into the HQ as silently as they can. Eventually, they'll get a call from Hanako, and are left to go find her. The two have a lengthy conversation as she leads them up toward a secret room and, from there, to another boardroom to discuss the murder of her father. The revelation causes a fight to break out where Hanako asks V to help take control of the tower.
2. Go with Rogue
V will take their pseudoendotrizine pills and give Johnny full control of their body. After one final night with Rogue and a heartfelt goodbye to V, Johnny heads off the Arasaka HQ.
3. Call Panam
V takes their omega blocker pills and rings in Panam and the nomads to help out. After some time petting the cat at Vik's and getting a reading from Misty, Panam and the Aldecaldos show up to help raid the HQ.
4. Johnny's Plan
V sends Rogue on her way and hangs back for approximately five minutes. Suddenly, Johnny speaks up, and offers them an alternative plan to attack the HQ solo. This leads to the "Don't Fear the Reaper" mission which leads V into the Arasaka base. If they make it out, they enter cyberspace. Rogue is left alive. This is considered the secret ending.
5. Suicide
V chooses to toss the pills and sit back on the rooftop. Johnny appears, and the two have on final conversation to exchange a heartfelt goodbye. Slowly, the scene pans away from them to provide a view of the city below, and players hear a single, solemn gunshot ring out into the night. With that—V is gone. The ending credits are filled with V's friends and their love interest mourning their death and wishing for a better outcome. This is considered the bad ending by the playerbase.
