Days Gone: Can You Go Back North?

In Days Gone, can you go back north? At a certain point in the story, the game informs you that the northern region of its sizable map, including Lost Lake and other locations, will no longer be available. Does it stay locked forever? Here's what you need to know about the game's region locking.

Days Gone Can You Go Back North?

While Days Gone positions these points in the story as irrevocable changes to where you can travel in the game, the truth is that they're not as permanent as they sound.

After locking off the north first, the story will later force you back to the north and lock off the south. Once you finish the story completely, you'll be able to travel back and forth between the two regions at will. You'll even be able to fast travel to each, provided you've cleared enough nests.
