In Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Techland has been back at it again with the random encounters feature, including facilitating unique events that happen to do with other real players online.

Here's a breakdown of the Call for Help: Search and Rescue feature in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Dying Light 2 Call for Help: Search and Rescue Explained

The city of Villedor in Dying Light 2 is filled with random encounters.

Appearing as blue diamond icons and oftentimes accompanied by someone yelling for help, players are free to ignore these instances or complete them for minor rewards.

Another pretty interesting random encounter, however, is those of the Call for Help variety.

By default, the game will have players' playthrough save settings may be set to single-player only.

Among the options that players can customize, however, is one titled Call For Help: Search and Rescue, which sets the game to automatically look for other sessions using the Call for Help option. This has three options of its own:

  • Regularly
  • From time to time
  • Never

Call For Help: Search and Rescue kicks in occasionally when players stumble onto the death screen. If you have it set enabled, the game will randomly look for someone to join your game and lend you a hand.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available now for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store and Techland Store).
