E3 2021 Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase Recap

In case you missed it, here's a recap of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021.
Starfield
Todd Howard opened the show with the first in-game teaser for Starfield. One of the most anticipated releases for the new generation of consoles, the trailer showcased what fans can expect from Bethesda's new universe. The game's release date was also announced for Nov. 11, 2022 as an Xbox exclusive.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 took the spotlight next with some in-game footage of the sequel. The trailer featured some dialogue, combat and more.
Back 4 Blood
Next up was a trailer for Back 4 Blood. The co-op multiplayer shooter is from the creators of Left 4 Dead. The game is scheduled to release this fall on Oct. 21
Contraband
A new title called Contraband was revealed following Back 4 Blood coming from Xbox Games Studios and Avalanche.
Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life
The popular pirate game is getting a crossover with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Jack Sparrow, Davey Jones, Calypso and more. It's a free update coming June 22.
Battlefield 2042 Gameplay
After Electronic Arts and DICE revealed Battlefield 2042 before the press conferences, pre-alpha gameplay was shown during the event. The trailer showcased multiple aspects of gameplay.
Twelve Minutes
Twelve Minutes was the next game up and it's an interactive thriller starring James McAvoy and Daisy Ridley. The game releases Aug. 19.
Fallout: 76: Steel Reign
Bethesda revealed the next aspect of Fallout: 76 with Steel Reign. One of the most controversial releases of the modern era, Bethesda has spent time trying to revive the title. Steel Reign comes July 7.
Party Animals
Party Animals was revealed looking like a Gang Beasts clone that's sure to garner hype. The game is coming in 2022.
Hades
Hades, the popular rouge-like title, is coming to Xbox.
Somerville
Sommerville is a new announcement coming to Xbox in 2022.
Halo: Infinite
The big highlight of the showcase came with the Halo: Infinite segment. Multiplayer is free-to-play across Xbox and PC. A new trailer gave fans more footage of the highly anticipated title. Master Chief was at the forefront giving fans a look at what to expect for the campaign. There was also a lengthy multiplayer trailer.
Halo: Infinite's first multiplayer season and campaign is launching this holiday season.
Diablo II: Resurrected
A trailer for the upcoming Diablo II: Resurrected followed Halo coming Sept. 23.
A Plague Tale: Requiem
A trailer for a new title called A Plague Tale: Requiem showcased some cinematics.
Far Cry 6
Far Cry 6 featured for another day during E3 2021. Ubisoft's upcoming sequel is one of the most anticipated in the franchise's history featuring Giancarlo Esposito as the main villain.
Slime Rancher 2
A new first-person title followed Far Cry 6 called Slime Rancher 2. The trailer featured some gameplay. Slime Rancher 2 is coming in 2022
Shredders
One of the most exciting announcements of the conference was a new snowboarding title called Shredders. Fans of the SSX franchise have been hoping for a high-profile snowboarding game for quite some time. Shredders releases this holiday season.
Atomic Heart
Atomic Heart followed Shredders with a brief gameplay trailer.
Replaced
A cinematic trailer for Xbox console launch exclusive Replaced followed Atomic Heart. The game is expected to release in 2022.
Among Us
Everyone's favorite mafia-like game Among Us had a trailer during the showcase. Among Us is coming to Xbox. An exact release date wasn't announced.
Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes and Rising
Two new titles are coming to Xbox in 2022 and 2023.
The Ascent
The Ascent is coming to Xbox on July 29.
Age of Empires IV
The long-awaited sequel in the Age of Empires franchise is coming to Xbox on Oct. 28.
The Outer Worlds 2
A sequel to The Outer Worlds is coming to Xbox. A release date was not announced in the trailer.
Microsoft Flight Simulator
The popular flight sim took the center stage during the conference with a cinematic trailer. The game is coming to Xbox on July 27.
There will also be a Top Gun Maverick free expansion coming to the title.
Forza Horizon 5
A new release in the Forza Horizon series is coming with Forza Horizon 5. The title is coming Nov. 9. Following a cinematic trailer, Playground Games showcased in-game footage. As usual, the graphics looks fantastic. The new entry takes place in Mexico. Perhaps the biggest announcement in the trailer is the custom race creator.
A new Forza Motorsport is also in development.
Redfall
A new title from Arkane Austin closed the show for Xbox as an exclusive. The cinematic trailer showcased some gunplay and what to expect from characters. The game seems to feature supernatural characters like Vampires. Redfall is coming Summer 2022.
