EA Sports FC 24 Team of the Year Attacker Predictions

EA Sports FC 24's highly anticipated Ultimate Team promotion, Team of the Year, is around the corner as players prepare to try and pack the most coveted items in game. Here are our predictions for the attacking slots in the starting XI.

Team of the Year is an annual Ultimate Team promotion each January. The best performing players from last year are rewarded with special cards that are traditionally endgame and the most overpowered. Cards receive the biggest statistical upgrades possible compared to other promotions and are highly sought after by the community. This year's iteration is likely to include a women's TOTY squad as well increasing the total number of players available in packs.

The TOTY squad likely speaks for itself considering Manchester City's domestic and international dominance, but the attacking options will likely feature three players from different clubs.

Here's who we predict will be the three attacking players in FC 24's men's Team of the Year attacking squad.

Prediction #1: Erling Haaland

Who else but the robot up front? It might've taken City some time to click after adding Haaland to the squad, but Pep Guardiola's side cleaned up with major honors in 2023. Haaland amassed 48 goals across the Premier League and Champions league with 8 assists. He helped propel City to a treble winning the two aforementioned competitions and the FA Cup. Plus, City won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to complete a historic year. Haaland is nailed on for TOTY and likely will receive a 97 or 98 rated card.

Prediction #2: Lionel Messi

The GOAT. Lionel Messi is also all but confirmed for TOTY. Despite limited success in France, Messi captured a historic eighth Ballon d'Or over players like Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo. His move to Inter Miami in the MLS resulted in the club's first trophy winning the Leagues Cup over Nashville FC in the final. The Ballon d'Or winner should feature in TOTY alongside Haaland, and the last entry on our list...

Prediction #3: Cristiano Ronaldo

This could be the last time we see both Ronaldo and Messi feature in a Team of the Year squad together. While Messi still received a 90 overall card to the start the year, Ronaldo's base gold card was only 86 rated. For many, this signified the beginning of the end of the era. Though, Ronaldo has not slowed down when it comes to scoring goals. CR7 ended 2023 as the top goal scorer in the world for club and country with 54 goals across the Portuguese national team and Al Nassr.
