Epic Games Signs Multi-Year Partnership with BLAST for FNCS and RLCS Events

Epic Games just extended their partnership with BLAST to produce the best FNCS and RLCS events throughout the next few years.

BLAST, the global Esports network responsible for BLAST Premier, the Counter-Strike 2 professional league, will spearhead all future Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) and Rocket League Champion Series (RLCS) events. After running multiple successful LAN competitions in 2023, including the FNCS Global Championship in Copenhagen, BLAST will get the opportunity to produce even more electrifying events for both Fortnite and Rocket League in the new year.

After signing a new multi-year deal with Epic Games, BLAST will run all FNCS and RLCS events starting in 2024. Not only will BLAST lead the event production and marketing, but they will also control the commercial rights of each competitive broadcast.

In their press release, Leo Matlock, Chief Business Officer for BLAST, said, “We are immensely proud to announce this momentous multi-year deal with Epic Games. We believe this partnership represents the future of competitive gaming, where organizations like BLAST are able to work in tandem with world-leading publishers to create incredible experiences for players and teams to compete at the top level in front of fans all over the world."

This collaboration is testament to that hard work and we are delighted to expand our relationship with Epic Games by operating the Rocket League Championship Series in addition to the Fortnite Championship Series.”

Epic Games Announces FNCS 2024

Before today's big announcement, Epic Games had already teased the upcoming FNCS 2024 tournament in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 Competitive Patch Notes. Although the logistics about the competition are still unknown, FNCS 2024 will once again feature the best duos in the world.

Epic Games wrote, "Of course, FNCS will return in 2024! Grab your Duo and prepare for tournaments to begin later this season with more details to be shared in January."
