Fan Compares Bastion Skins' Bird Sounds to Real World Counterparts

Overwatch's attention to detail has always impressed fans and endeared the game to new players. That attention to detail is on full display in Bastion's different skins, as evidenced by this video compiled by an Overwatch fan.

In each of Bastion's Epic and higher skins, the design of his bird friend Ganymede changes. In the base skin, Ganymede most closely resembles a xanthochromic Northern cardinal, a yellow bird native to North America. In the others, his species shifts to match the skin’s color scheme. Blizzard paid special attention to these variations, changing Ganymede’s song to match the species he displays in each skin.

This video, created by Overwatch subreddit user u/Owlero goes through all of Bastion’s Epic skins and shows a close up on Ganymede, plus his song, side by side with the species he’s meant to resemble.
