Fang Lair in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is a four-person dungeon instance located in Bangkorai. It is part of the Dragon Bones dungeon DLC alongside Scalecaller Peak. The story takes place in a Dwemer ruin where powerful necromancers are working to reanimate the long-dead dragon Thurvokun.

The sets dropped in this dungeon are: Caluurion's Legacy, Trappings of Invigoration, Ulfnor's Favor, and the Thurvokun Monster set. It should be noted that Monster sets only drop on Veteran difficulty.

As of Update 17, Thurvokun and Orryn the Black may now drop a Fang Lair motif page. All dungeon bosses drop Dragon Bone crafting material.

Fang Lair ESO Boss List

There are five sets of bosses players need to worry about when stepping into Fang Lair.

Lizabet Charnis

The most notable thing about Lizabet is that she summons her attacks mostly in waves. She is mostly a warm-up for what you can expect to face beyond—i.e. complex mechanics and the need to pay attention.

The Tank should take care of the Colossus at her side while DPS dispatch her. Be aware of her frost AoE attacks and ranged skull stunning projectiles.

Cadaverous Bear and Others

Cadaverous Bear spawns with an undead menagerie of other animals including a tiger, a guar, and a small pack of re-spawning, exploding wolves. The wolves will charge party members and explode while the tiger will attempt to pounce players for extra damage.

The Tank should keep the bear taunted away from the party while they deal with the tiger, first. Once downed, they should focus in on the bear. The wolves can be easily kited all over the platform and the guar goes down easy on its own.

Caluurion

Caluurion is a lich—meaning he's a stationary boss that makes adds do most of his work for him. Every so often, he will activate a relic on the outer edge of the field to cause poison AoE damage, shocking fields, or additional units.

Due to Caluurion's motionless combat-style, Tanks may want to step in and distract his summoned adds, instead. After each relic is activated, DPS should target it and bring it down to stop the corresponding effect.

Ignoring mechanics and burning down the boss is not an unheard of strategy if the party is experienced enough.

Ulfnor and Sabina Cedus

These two are a pair of knights that Orryn will raise to slow you down. Their fight is pretty straightforward aside from one mechanic: a spirit will attack a random party member and attempt to drag them away. This attack is unbreakable but can be interrupted if the party acts quickly enough to destroy the spirit. Otherwise, this is a one-hit kill.

The easiest order to take these two down in is Ulfnor followed by Sabina. Ulfnor is the opponent with the thicker skin. DPS will need to look out for each other when the spirit arrives. Don't be afraid to call for help.

Thurvokun and Orryn the Black

These two make for the most complicated fight in the dungeon. Players will only be fighting with the dragon, however. Orryn will affect the battle remotely.

In the first phase, Thurvokun will attack players with his tail and poison AoE breath. As his HP drops, Orryn will activate crystals at the edges of the field to summon mobs. Tank should distract the dragon while DPS battles the mobs and destroys the crystals.

After this, Orryn will summon a lethal wall of ghosts. The spirits will form a line and make their way across the room. To avoid this, stand behind the gold barrier summoned for you by your friendly NPC guide. Some players have reported success by roll-dodging through it, but this isn't recommended and will still cause massive damage.

After the party brings Thurvokun down the first time, Orryn will resurrect him at 50% health. Now, Thurvokun will roar to cause fear and scale the walls of the dungeon. From his aerial perch, he will rain down lethal poison blobs onto the field. To avoid this, break free from fear and look for golden circles on the ground. Running over them will protect you from the poison damage.

Otherwise, the party should focus their damage on the dragon to complete the dungeon.
